Set around the world, with the help of the Inuits, Dracula Parrots and marine creatures like Octy, Sheela the Shark and Wally the Whale, these fast-paced books create a new pirate world for their young readers.

Shiver me timbers, if it ain’t Baby Polly the Parrot.

Born with only one eye, she is abducted by two-legged destroyers from her home in Africa and sent to Scotland. There she finds herself in a pet shop where the horrible child-two-legged destroyers & tease and bully her. Then, one day, in walks Captain Hake, a Pirate and rescues her. He takes her on board his pirate ship, there she learns everything about running a pirate ship and becomes a pirate. At first, she is bullied by crew members as she cannot fly, but Captain Hake soon sorts them out as he has ZERO tolerance for bullies on board his ship.
Polly the Parrot is not the only animal on board the Thistle. Polly the Parrot meets Jolly Roger the Rat and they become good friends. One day they play a game of Hide and Seek…

Polly and the crew of the Thistle spot Captain Blackbeard’s ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, long thought lost, floating out at sea. They board her and discover she is deserted.

In this heartwarming tale, you’ll meet an extraordinary bunch of swashbucklers from bagpipe-playing Scottish Pirates to Abba-singing Viking Pirates, tattooed Maori Pirates, yellow-turbaned Indian Pirates, guitar-playing Cowboy American Pirates, and Vuvuzela-blowing Zulu Pirates, each bringing their unique talents to the competition in pursuit of the coveted GOLD!

However, these pirates aren’t your ordinary buccaneers – although disabled, they’re each equipped with new prosthetic blades, arms, and wheelchairs. Witness their bravery as they compete in events like Walk the Plank Diving, showcase their acrobatic prowess in the Climb the Rigging Gymnastics, and power through an exhilarating three-legged race, among other thrilling events.

In the midst of all the action, you’ll discover why coconuts don’t make good footballs, get a taste of the culinary talents of the Pirate Chefs in their very own Masterchef Competition and learn that disability does not mean inability.

Join Polly and the Pirates as they set sail to the chilly realm of Snowy Island, in the fourth instalment of this thrilling series.

As Polly and her trusty crew of Pirates arrive on Snowy Island, they quickly find themselves amidst a winter wonderland of ice and snow. But there’s no time to hibernate – it’s time to dive headfirst into the frosty fun! The pirates donning fur-lined coats and hats over their bandanas as they embark on a wild and frozen escapade.

From fishing through frosty holes in the ice to constructing cozy igloos, Polly and her pirate friends embrace the cold with the exception of Captain Kipper’s Indian crew, who find it a bit on the ch… ch… chilly side, against the stunning backdrop of the snow-covered island.

A surprise is install for the crws as the girl pirates make an entrance and join the festivities, adding a whole new dimension to the competitions.

But it’s not all smooth sailing (or sled-dragging) for Polly and her crew. The high-stakes sled race takes an unexpected twist, putting not just victory, but their safety on thin ice. A story about street kids, drugs and how children are given drugs outside schools as sweets until they are hooked! Even Middle and Primary schools. The Pirates although out of their depth invite the street kids for Christmas and Hogmanay and many get adopted.
